Job Description:

The bus aide rides buses and helps the driver ensure the safe and orderly transportation of students and may drive the school suburban with students as needed. The person selected for this job will be scheduled to work a minimum of 5 hours per day.  Some of the assigned responsibilities include: assisting students with disabilities on and off the bus; supervising students as they board and leave the bus and cross the street; managing student behavior and reporting discipline problems to the transportation manager.

Salary Range (based on 2022-2023 salary schedule):

Minimum:  16.00/hour

Salary commensurate with related experience

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED;

Ability to follow verbal instructions and communicate effectively;

Ability to operate safety equipment and adaptive equipment;

Ability to work well with children 

Acceptable driving record
