Prepares and serves the appropriate quantities of food to meet menu requirements.  Maintains high standards in food production, sanitation, and safety practices.  The school nutrition employee is responsible for the efficient operation of his/her assigned area.  The food service employee must uphold the policies and standards of the School Nutrition Department.  Minimum of 4 hours per workday.

Ability to work tactfully and pleasantly with people

Ability to read and follow instructions and plan work

Demonstrate professional appearance and cleanliness in work habits

Ability to coordinate and produce work in allotted time

Positive attitude toward work and other school personnel

Ability to operate large and small kitchen equipment and tools
